“Lets Get This Party Started” 

So It’s the Evening of your Wedding Party – Here’s What Happens
As soon as I arrive ( normally an hour before the time stated on your Evening Invitations) I will speak to you directly to let you know I’ve arrived or pass a message to you through the duty manager.

Setup

Wedding meal finishes and guests are normally asked to retire to another area of the venue whilst the staff set the room up for the Evening Party – I set-up and sound check and set the lighting to create a chilled pre first dance mood.

First Dance

Once Set-up I will then speak to the B&G regarding how the first dance will be announced and finally check all other “special ” dances are correct.
The guests are invitied back into the room ….. I check to make sure all the Bridal Party , Parents etc are in the room prior to the first dance and the Bride has not gone to “Powder her Nose” at the last minute !

The First Dance is announced and the first bars of the chosen music will coincide with the  Bride & Grooms first steps onto the Dancefloor …. the Party has started.

Booking Procedure.

Booking with My Wedding DJ is easy . All bookings can be completed online and deposits etc paid using a secure Paypal Account. If you decide to book I will forward via email a booking form and agreement for you to complete.Once I receive the completed booking form and agreed deposit you will be sent a written booking confirmation and receipt for your deposit. Login details and passwords to the client area of my website will be emailed to you at this time also.

Organised & Planned

Great Wedding parties  don’t just happen , they need careful planning before the event and of course someone to control and organise all the procedings on the evening of the party. As well as playing great music and creating that all important party atmosphere I also manage and co-ordinate your evening liasing with other vendors and venue staff to make sure everything runs smoothly.  Your party will be in safe hands  All you have to do on the evening is enjoy the party.

Always Well Prepared

A month or so  before the big day I contact you to discuss exactly how you want your evening to be and the real planning for your evening begins. We will talk about music choices what your thoughts are on your choice for that all important “First Dance”.  The week before your date is when we discuss all the finer details of your evening thus ensuring everything happens as planned.

Always Punctual

Depending on the venue, it takes an average of half an hour to set up all the Sound and Lighting equipment. I always arrive in plenty of time for your function, usually about an hour before the time stated on your evening invitations.

Smartly Presented

As a Wedding DJ I like to be smartly dressed when I perform as you would expect at a Wedding Party. I ensure my  Equipment and set up looks neat and tidy . My logo appears on my booth but other than that I do not use advertising banners as part of my set-up ….. after all the person who makes our wedding cake doesn’t splash their phone number all over the icing !

Professional Sound & Lighting

I use only  quality professional equipment . If you need and special equipment beyond the  standard gear, I can supply that, too.

Sound and lighting are focused on the dance floor where it belongs, so conversation isn’t a shouting match. Sound equipment used will depend on venue size and numers attending your function. My Sound  system is suitable for audiences of up to 350 people; larger rigs are available by request. I  Always carry full back-up equipment if for any reason we experience an equipment failure.
Superb  sound quality is complimented by A comprehensive range of stunning lighting and effects. Generally, I use soft coloured lights to generate a relaxed atmosphere, then as the night progresses our full intelligent lighting system will be called into play. I do not use strobe lighting or smoke as most venues now prohibit their use.

I don’t show photos of kit  or list equipment like some other DJ sites. The person who made your Wedding Cake I’m sure didn’t list the make and model of food mixer used to make the cake mix! As a Professional I use Professional Quality gear as you would expect.

Photo’s of my rig are freely displayed so clients can see what their DJ’s set-up will look like on the evening of the party – make-sure you see your DJ’s set-up as a DJ sitting behind a laptop on an open table with a few flashing lights with wires hanging everywhere may not enhance the look for your party venue you are expecting.

Massive Selection of Music

The key to having  a successful wedding party disco  is to have a D.J. who knows pre-gig what musically  his clients like and want and also   quickly gauge what type of music his audience will enjoy and of course dance to. This  will have been  discussed  with all our clients during the pre-wedding consultation.

I play to suit the crowd not myself so requests from the floor are always encouraged. The DJ forms a rapport with the crowd that keeps everyone, young and the not so young, happy. My vast selection of popular music from the 1950’s to today will meet the needs of all your guests, regardless of  age. I  welcome your playlist which you can generate online from our massive music database. Its a comination of your own requests , guests requests and those extra special tunes which I select which  blends everything together to make a memorable night of great music and dancing

Remember you pay the D.J. and he works for you on your night. If there are songs or music styles you don’t like or want they’re simple Not  Played.

I offer a quality professional service and operate to the same high standards as you would expect from other professionals in the Wedding Service Industry. My Prices whilst certainly not the lowest out there are by no means the highest. Prices for Weddings will vary slightly depending on time of year and the day of the week  which your function is being held on. I am centrally based in Northern Ireland and most venues are within an hours drive so I do not charge extra for travel .
